Ivy Brightwell French

Hi! I’m Ivy B. French (Brightwell was my maiden name if you’re wondering where the “B” comes from)! I specialize in, and live for, branding, marketing, product, food, headshot, lifestyle, and portrait photography based out of Shreveport, Louisiana.

I started my photography career when I was 15 by learning on my father's film cameras. At the time, it was just fun for me, but it sparked that same love of photography that my dad had, and launched my career. I have been capturing branding photography, cherished moments, the joy of life, and all the in between moments in as creative, inspiring, and fun ways as I can ever since. I love making my clients’ sessions enjoyable & playful while still bringing that professionalism I’m known for.

I love to laugh and really get to know my clients, their products, vision, and their teams or families so that no matter how comfortable or uncomfortable you are in front of the camera, you feel at ease and have a blast while we’re shooting. When I’m not behind the camera, I love spending time with my husband, Clay, our beautiful daughter, Andy Kate, our family & friends, making music (hello fellow musicians!), & reading. I look forward to working with you and creating some beautiful imagery together!

  • There is no minimum order requirement after purchasing your session. This allows you to have all of the control over what you spend and what products you get instead of being locked in to packages with products that may not necessarily fit your needs.

  • No, session fees do not include digital images or any other products. I prefer to break down all of my pricing (you can find all pricing info on my rates page) as I have clients that prefer all kinds of different things so by breaking my pricing up between session fees and product fees, this allows you to have all of the control over your budget & what products you get so that I can always ensure to give my clients the best bang for their buck.

  • It truly varies per client due to my pricing break down and giving my clients control over their budgets and products. However, most of my clients spend a minimum of $650-$1,075 plus tax in total for their session and digital images and/or other products. I offer a variety of products ranging from digital images, prints, canvases, framing, photo albums, etc., in a variety of sizes and prices. See my rates for more info!

  • My regular mini sessions are offered 2x/year: Spring and Fall. I run these mini sessions slightly differently to better accommodate you and your budget. With the spring and fall mini sessions, you have 2 choices of mini sessions: $225 for 20 minutes, 10 images, and your choice of date, time, and location based on my availability OR $275 for 20 minutes, 15 images, and your choice of date, time, and location based on my availability. You always have upgrade options available with these sessions as well.

    Christmas Tree Farm mini sessions are another special I typically offer in October or November (this all varies on when the tree farm can allow us in as they also work with many other photographers).

  • Our mini sessions must be held within 10 miles of 71104.

  • I have loads of experience with all different skin types and tones over the years and specialize in making people of all skin tones look their best! I have several examples of this here on the website or you can check out one of my social media pages I have listed at Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, or Threads.

  • I do! I always have locations available for us to shoot at and am always open to location ideas as well if you have one in mind already!

  • It all depends on the nature and parameters of what your session requires. If outdoors, I prefer to use the natural scenery around us but you are always welcome to bring any props you would like and I'll try to incorporate those into your shoot. If indoors, I prefer the same but will typically have a chat before or at the beginning of your session to see what you'd like in the background. For branding, product, and food photography sessions, we chat about what your brand needs in depth prior to our shoot so that I come ready with all that will be needed on set.
